Modbus & 1-Wire

• its data model (coils, discrete inputs, holding/input registers) and framing
• 1-Wire: a single line carrying both power and data to addressable sensors
• 1-Wire's timing-based signaling, 64-bit ROM IDs, and parasitic power
• the gotchas: Modbus word-order/numbering, 1-Wire's microsecond timing
